Over the years, our membership changed and the major emphasis on showing gave way to more attention for horse husbandry, general horse training, trail riding, and caring for donkeys or mules as well as horses. Association members have put on shows, led trail rides, given out educational scholarships, held clinics and play days.
In 2020, NNMHA re-formed as a full-fledged 501(c)(3) public charity with the mission to encourage and educate our members and the broader New Mexico community with regard to equine wellness and equestrian activities. We were able to sell our property in Santa Fe (next to the Santa Fe Rodeo Grounds) which has allowed us to re-invest in a wider range of programs, activities and support.
Northern New Mexico Horsemen's Association encourages and educates our members and the broader New Mexico community with regard to equine wellness and equestrian activities.
NNMHA envisions a vibrant community supporting equine well-being and equestrian activities.
